Andorra! What can you say? A disaster in architecture/stick out like a sore thumb building design, but a marvel of mountains and scenery. Luckily, the at times awful town planning can easily be ignored once you climb up a few tens of metres. Jagged skylines, savage in toothed ridge and clawed scree, surround. Isolated mountain lakes verdant amid the brown grey rocks appear behind craggy roche moutonees or grassy moraines. The late snow has meant that there are many more wild flowers than usual at this time of year. Blue Gentians, red azaelias, white ?? and yellow ??? are common on the hills. Quiet but for the occassional unidentified bird song. Sunny with a cobalt blue sky overhead patterned by few spare wisps of cirrostratus. The daily walks are not too long in terms of total kilometers covered. However, when ascending/descending 700 metres the horizontal distance becomes meaningless.

First attempt
This is a first trial of a blog posting.
Spoiler alert: Any philosophical insights that find themselves in this ephemera will be entirely accidental.
No animals were harmed in the making of this blog, but considerable damage may be done to the english language as my grammar and spelling leave a lot to be desired.
Mostly this blog will contain photos and the odd comment.
For example: here are poppies in a wind swept field of rye. Northamptonshire june 2013.
